New Delhi: The National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 candidates are facing issues with their login credentials due to the unresponsive website of the National Board of Examinations (NBE), and hence getting their preferred exam centres.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the candidates have started expressing their concerns and demanded immediate action on the part of NBE to resolve these issues.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that by issuing a notice on 18.07.2024, NBE had informed all the NEET PG 2024 candidates to choose their test city again by exercising their choices of preferred test cities. For this, NBE had announced that an window would be opened from 19th July 2024 to 22nd July 2024 (till 11:55 PM).

As per the notice issued on 18th July, the said window can be accessed through the NBEMS website using the NEET-PG 2024 applicant login credentials.

However, taking to X (formerly Twitter), several candidates have pointed out that after they changed their password for login and tried to access the option of choosing the exam centre, the NBE website crashed. Following this, when they started trying to log in, both their old and new passwords were shown to be "invalid".

"I am a NEET PG 2024 aspirant. I've been facing repeated invalid credential issue and no one has any solution. We are all frustrated with this since yesterday," a NEET PG aspirant wrote in an X post.

Explaining the issue in detail, another candidate shared a post stating, "On 19 /7/24 we were told to enter new examination centre. First the website didn't open and when it opened it told us the password is expired and then we changed the password and got a text message from nbems that the password is now changed. Then the site crashed as usual and later since night when we were trying to login they told that the credentials are wrong (Both the old and new one) .so we tried to login by clicking on forgot password . Even affer that we are not getting any text or mail from nbems. The problem in all this is that the site will be open only for 2 days and 1.5day already got over and still no one adressed this issue. We may get centr anywhere in india and morover later when we will try to download admit card if it still shows wrong credentials then what to do?"

Referring to a similar problem, another candidate wrote on X, "I've created new password yesterday evening.(6-7pm) .Got a confirmatory message (not mail) from NBE on password change(8-9pm) Then couldn't login at 12 when site opened and it showed *invalid credentials*"

Meanwhile, a candidate shared the screenshots of different types of errors encountered by him. In the first image, the message on the login page read, "A user was already logged in this form. All previous sessions are logged out now. Please login again."

The second image mentioned that the password of the candidate did not change, the third screenshot showed a message stating, "We are unable to service your request at this time."

"Either there is error while logging in, or there error after logging in ; Rest all remains the same," wrote an aspirant.

Amid this situation, some of the X users have pointed out that NBE, at least, should have issued a clarification on the issues faced by the candidates. In this regard, a user wrote, "Neither these officials nor even the backend team cares for candidates! Medical system itself is a joke leave the treatment part, not even giving proper response to the doctors appearing for exam Even after multiple attempts cannot login with old/new pw."

Meanwhile, activist Dr. Vivek Pandey shared the messages of doctors to show that several candidates were facing issues with exam centre allocation as well.

"Many students are facing issues with exam center allocation due to sudden rule changes. They are unable to update their correspondence addresses to choose suitable centers. Kindly solve this issue. @NbeIndia @MoHFW_INDIA," he wrote on an X post.

One of the messages shared by him concerned a doctor from Kerala, who is a Medical Officer working in Indian Army and posted in West Bengal. As per the doctor, even though he wanted his exam centre in Kolkata, West Bengal, where he is currently staying, he was allocated a centre in Kerala based on his correspondence address in Kerala. The doctor argued that if exam centres were being allocated as per the correspondence address, NBE should have provided them with a window to change the correspondence address.

This year NEET PG 2024 exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 23rd June, 2024. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the exam was postponed just 12 hours before it was scheduled to take place. The Union Health Ministry took this decision as a precautionary measure amid the ongoing controversies concerning the NEET exam as well as the UGC NET exam.

Recently, NBE announced that the PG medical entrance test will be held on 11th August 2024 in two shifts. However, NBE clarified that the cut-off date for the eligibility to appear in the exam shall continue to be 15th August 2024.

More than 240,000 candidates will appear in the NEET-PG exam for admission in 24,000 MD seats, 12,600 MS seats and 900 PG Diploma seats at various medical institutes.
