Varanasi: Hospital director shoots self dead
Varanasi: A renowned doctor and director of a private hospital in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his licensed gun inside the washroom of his house in Kaivalyadham colony of Bhelupur late on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as a 53 year-old physician. As per people close to the doctor, he had been depressed ever since his father, who was also a doctor had passed away due to COVID, reports Times of India.
On the other hand, ACP, Bhelupur, Pravin Kumar Singh stated, "We are investigating the matter after sending the body for post-mortem. Following the initial investigation, it is suspected that the doctor was upset over some family issue."
