ICMR launches online class for doctors to improve prescription practices
ICMR Director General Prof Balram Bhargava said this at the launch of the course that ICMR is committed to ensuring that the country's medical graduates were at the same level as doctors from other countries.
New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Thursday launched an online course to teach MBBS doctors to write patients' slips while doing or completing internships.
ICMR on Thursday informed us that the course has been started on the occasion of Patients' Safety Day.
Under this course, medical graduate students will be told the things to be kept in mind while writing the patients' slip, how to prescribe medicines, and give medical information to patients.
They will be told to write a prescription for patients with infections, eyes, ears, skin, or mental diseases, women, children, the elderly, emergencies and heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
The course will be conducted by Chennai-based ICMR-NIE.
