13-month-old girl stolen from Udaipur hospital, probe on
Jaipur: In a shocking incident, a 13-month-old girl was allegedly stolen from Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital in Udaipur in the early hours of Saturday.
The toddler, Avyansh, was sleeping with her mother in the corridor of the hospital when the incident occurred, the police said.
After examining the CCTV footage, it was found that an unidentified woman allegedly abducted the girl and left the hospital.

When the mother woke up around 4 am, she found that her daughter was missing and alerted the hospital administration, police said.
An official from the hospital said the woman, whose daughter was abducted, had come to the hospital as an attendant and was not a patient.
“They were sleeping in the corridor when another woman, who was also sleeping there, picked up the girl and left the hospital,” the official said upon examining the CCTV footage.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code section 363 (kidnapping) at Hathipole police station, police said, adding that efforts are on to nab the accused.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a distressing incident unfolded at government-run Niloufer Hospital when a six-month-old baby boy was allegedly abducted by an unidentified woman. The parents of the infant conducted a thorough search within and around the hospital premises before promptly filing a formal complaint at the Nampally Police Station. According to their statement, the baby went missing at approximately 1830 hours.
The parents had brought their elder son to the hospital due to illness, and while one of them went to collect food offered by the hospital, they temporarily left their younger son. Upon returning, they were devastated to discover that their baby was missing.
