NBE invites applications for accreditation in DNB, DrNB, FNB courses July to November 2026 cycle, details

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited applications from hospitals, institutions and medical colleges seeking fresh accreditation or renewal of accreditation for running DNB, DrNB and FNB courses under the July-November 2026 cycle.
According to the notice issued by the NBE, in this regard, applications can be submitted through the Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP). The online application window will remain available till November 30, 2026.
Institutions must also send the duly signed and stamped hard copies of their applications to NBEMS by December 15, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

NBE grants accreditation to hospitals and medical institutions for conducting broad speciality, super speciality and fellowship programmes.
For DNB and Direct 6-Year DrNB courses, applications have been invited for fresh accreditation and renewal of accreditation for departments whose existing NBEMS accreditation remains valid till December 2026.
For DrNB and FNB courses, applications have been invited for fresh accreditation and renewal of accreditation for departments whose accreditation is valid till June 2027.
The Board has also made available a list of currently accredited departments that are required to apply for renewal during the present July-November application window.
NBEMS has further stated that it has introduced a Joint Accreditation Programme for Broad Speciality DNB courses.
The deadlines apply to both the Main Application and Specialty-Specific Application. The hard copies of the two applications are required to be submitted separately in spiral-bound form to the NBEMS office.
Hospitals and institutions must submit the accreditation application only in online mode through the Online Accreditation Application Portal accessible from the NBEMS website.
After completing the online submission, institutions are required to send a duly signed and stamped hard copy of the application within the prescribed deadline.
The Board has specifically asked institutions to ensure that all information furnished in the application is complete and correct, warning that incomplete or inaccurate information may delay processing or could result in rejection of the application.
