UP: Govt to expand facilities of CHC-PHC level health centres at cost of Rs 10,547.42 crore
The sub-centres will be opened for a population of 5 thousand, PHCs for more than 10 thousand population and CHCs for more than that. At the same time, keeping in mind the serious cases, there is a plan to open a 100-bed hospital.
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government is engaged in equipping each district with medical facilities under the policy of 'One District, One Medical College'.
By the end of the fiscal year 2022-2023, UP is likely to create a new record in the medical field with facilities like lab, CHC, PHC rejuvenation, the establishment of PICU NICU, and health ATMs. The Yogi government has taken several steps to strengthen the health sector in the budget.

The appearance of Community Health Centers (CHCs) in the state will also soon change.
With the strategy of the Yogi government, now it will be easier for the health department to overcome the shortage of staff, and equipment for tests like X-rays, ultrasound and medicines. Under the National Health Mission in the state, the facilities of CHC-PHC level health centres will be increased by an amount of Rs 10,547.42 crore.
New CHCs, PHCs, sub-centres and health and wellness centres will also be opened in rural areas from the budget released under NHM.
According to CMO, Dr Manoj Aggarwal, here on Sunday, a plan has been made to improve health facilities in rural areas in the budget. At the same time, keeping in mind the serious cases, there is a plan to open a 100-bed hospital.

In his meeting with the officials, CM said Yoga is a priceless gift bestowed by Indian sages to the world, which keeps both body and mind healthy. The theme of the 8th International Day of Yoga this year is 'Yoga for Humanity'.
