30 Drug Inspector Posts Up for Grabs as JPSC Launches 2026 Recruitment Drive

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has issued the official notification for the Drug Inspector Recruitment 2026, inviting applications to fill 30 vacancies under the state Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department.
As per the notification, the recruitment drive aims to appoint eligible candidates to permanent Drug Inspector posts. The online application process will be conducted through the commission’s One Time Registration (OTR) system. Interested candidates can submit their applications within the stipulated timeline mentioned in the notification. The selection process will consist of a written examination followed by an interview, as per JPSC recruitment rules.
Candidates applying for the Drug Inspector posts must possess a degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a degree in Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology, obtained from a recognised university or institution. The eligibility criteria have been prescribed in accordance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and relevant service rules.
The age limit for applicants has been fixed as per Jharkhand government norms. While the minimum age requirement applies uniformly, upper age limits and relaxations will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, women candidates, and persons with disabilities.
Selected candidates will be placed in the prescribed pay scale under Level 9, along with admissible allowances as per state government rules. Reservation of posts will be implemented category-wise in line with existing Jharkhand government policies.
Applicants are required to complete the online registration process, fill in personal and educational details, upload necessary documents, and pay the applicable examination fee before the closing date. Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected by the commission.
The commission has advised candidates to regularly check official updates regarding examination dates, admit cards, and further stages of the recruitment process, reports Adda247.
