Aurobindo Pharma Launches Fluticasone-Salmeterol Generic Advair Diskus in US

Hyderabad: Aurobindo Pharma has announced the launch of the generic version of Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder) in the United States through its wholly owned subsidiary, Lannett Company LLC.
The generic product, originally developed by GSK plc, has been launched in 100/50 mcg and 250/50 mcg strengths. The announcement was made on August 31, 2026.
The company stated that the launch represents an important milestone for its respiratory products portfolio as it is the first product from its inhalation pipeline to be commercialized in the US market. According to Aurobindo Pharma, the launch reflects its continued focus on expanding its portfolio of complex and differentiated inhalation products.
The generic version of Advair Diskus contains fluticasone propionate and salmeterol as an inhalation powder. The combination therapy is indicated for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
