Gujarat-based NEET aspirant commits suicide in Kota
Kota: In a tragic incident, a medical aspirant from Gujarat committed suicide by hanging in Kota recently.
NEET aspirant Ashfa Sheikh, a native of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, ended her life by hanging herself in her paying guest room in the Jawahar Nagar area at around 10 am, police said.
The 24-year-old woman had taken the medical entrance exam a few times before but could not clear it. She used to take coaching but was currently self-studying, Jawahar Nagar Circle Inspector Ramlaxman informed PTI.
No suicide note was recovered from her room and the reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, he added.

As the Jawahar Nagar police were probing Sheikh’s case, just two hours later the Mahaveer Nagar police received information about another student's suicide.
The student’s family was informed, said the officials The post-mortem of the body will be conducted after the arrival of the family. The reason for the suicide has not been revealed, adds IANS.
This is the fifth such incident this year that has been reported from Kota, a coaching hub for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that An eighteen-year-old medical aspirant from Maharashtra fell off a passenger train and died. Speaking to PTI, the police had informed, "The body of the deceased aspirant was found on the Delhi-Mumbai railway track in Bundi district Wednesday morning with a wound to the head."
The student carried no papers on him nor anything in the way of a suicide note, police said. He came from the Sangli district in Maharashtra and had been living with his mother in Kota.
The student was taking classes in the coaching hub Kota in Rajasthan to give the entrance test NEET for medical studies.
