DME Gujarat Begins Choice Filling Process For BAMS, BHMS Round 9 counselling

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has released the schedule for round 9 for BAMS and BHMS courses. 

Detailed schedule –

1. 9th Online Round Choice Filling - 28/11/2023 06:30 pm

2. Display of Choices filled by candidates - 28/11/2023 up to 09:00 pm

3. Display of Seat Allotment - On or before 29/11/2023

4. Online Payment OR Payment of Tuition Fees at a designated branch of HDFC Bank - 29/11/2023 - 30/11/2023 12:00 noon

5. Reporting & Original Document Submission at Help Center - 29/11/2023 10:00 am - 30/11/2023 04:00 pm

Process for Participation –

All the candidates included in the Merit List of ACPUGMEC can participate in the 9th online round. If any candidate has not taken part in the previous round in ACPUGMEC after registration, can also participate in the 9th round choice filing.

To participate in the 9th round, the candidates have to log in to the website of DME using their User ID and Password to give ONLINE CONSENT for participation in the ninth online round. If the candidate, who has confirmed the admission (Only BAMS/BHMS Courses) of the previous round and has given consent to participate in the ninth round, has been allotted a new different seat, the admission of the previous round will get automatically cancelled.

If a candidate takes part in the 9th round of ACPUGMEC and his/her admission does not get upgraded, then his/her previous admission will be continued. Candidates who have been admission to MBBS/ BDS courses till round 04 will not be allowed to participate in the 9th round.

The candidate who has participated or not participated in the 9th Round, the admission of the previous round can also be upgraded in the same college by change of admission category (i.e., ST / SC / SEBC / EWS to General category or PwD to non-PwD seat), there is no need to report the help centre for confirmation of admission.

Guidelines for Choice Filling –

Online allotment of seats is done on the basis of merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.

Choice can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria –

1. Course of choice

2. Institute/Place of choice

3. Government or Self-financed Institute

4. Tuition fees

Candidates are instructed to fill all the available choices irrespective of the institute’s status (permitted /recognized) so that during the process of allotment, if any institute gets permission, you can get admission in that seat. For Online Choice Filling, visit the website of DME.

Click on the “Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy” tab under “Undergraduate Admission”. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Click on the “Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “Candidate Registration/Login”. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Enter your USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14 Digit PIN, Captcha & Click on Submit button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “CHOICE DETAILS”. 3 options will be displayed as below –

1. Available Choice: you can see all available choices

2. Fill Choice: to start your choice-filling process

3. Print-Filled Choice: after locking your choices, you can take the printout of your choice list

Click on “Available Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

CHOICE AVAILABLE: You can see all available choices. You can filter out the choice based on options as under –

1. Branch: AYURVEDA / HOMEOPATHY

2. Institute Type: GOV / SFI / GIA

3. Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT (GQ) / MANAGEMENT SEAT (MQ) / NRI SEAT (NQ)

Click on “Fill Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Filter your choices by Branch, institute, institute type, and seat type -

1. Branch: BAMS, BHMS

2. Institute type: Blue color – Govt. and Gant-in-aid Institute; Green color – Self-financed institute

3. Seat type: GQ - Government Seat; MQ: Management Seat; NQ: NRI Seat

4. Institute: Name of particular institute

Add your choices, the candidates can add an unlimited number of choices

The candidates can re-arrange their choices by serial number

The candidates can delete all filled choices and can start choosing new choices again

Click “add” in the left-side panel ⇒ choice will be shifted to the right-side panel

SAVE CHOICE: To save your filled choices

SAVE & EXIT: To save your filled choices and exit from the choice filling page

After save and exit the choices page, the candidates can review their choices. Click on “Modify Choices” to modify choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., the candidates can lock their choices after clicking on “Lock Choices”.

Candidate must take print-out of locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will consider print-out of the locked choices only. The candidates can Unlock and modify their filled choices after entering 14-digit PIN No. till time and date decided by ACPUGMEC.

If the candidates fail to lock choices, it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.

Procedure for admission confirmation –

In the 9th Round, admission will be given on Newly added seats, Non-reported seats of the Previous Round, Cancelled Seats after the Previous Round & subsequent vacant Seats due to allotment on the above seats.

Declaration of result of seat allotment and printing of allotment letter –

After choice filling, ACPUGMEC will declare the result as per the merit number and choices filled by the candidate.

Candidate can download his allotment letter and Tuition fees challan from his account after login with the help of User ID & Password.

Payment of tuition fees –

Candidate can pay the Tuition fees OR difference of fees (in case of fees paid during the previous round) of allotted college either by online payment mode through the official website of ACPUGMEC OR by cash OR by Demand Draft through a designated branch of HDFC bank (List of designated bank’s branches is available on admission committee’s website of DME.

If the candidate has paid fees via the Online Payment Module, the Candidate has to visit directly to help centre with the online receipt of fees payment. OR If the student has paid Tuition fees by Cash OR Demand Draft through a designated branch of HDFC bank, then he/she has to collect 02 copies of the receipt generated from HDFC bank and get the bank stamp on the copy of challan.

For NRI Candidate [Only newly allotted candidate]: A candidate who has been allotted a seat in the NRI category for 1st time has to pay Rs. 5.00 lakh (as Refundable Deposit) by online payment gateway or cash or Demand Draft in favor of “ACPUGMEC” payable at Gandhinagar in the designated HDFC bank’s branches approved by ACPUGMEC. After that, students have to confirm their admission by submitting Original Documents at the Help Center. Then the candidate has to pay the prescribed tuition fees in US Dollars or equivalent amount in any other currency up to 12.00 noon on 30th November, 2023, at the admitted institute. If any candidate fails to deposit this fee at an admitted institute in the stipulated timeframe, the admission will be treated as cancelled. ACPUGMEC will refund the deposit amount of Rs. 5.00 lakh after the completion of the whole admission process.

Instructions for admission confirmation –

Candidate has to take a prior appointment for the Document Submission at the Help Center. Candidate can select the Date and Help Center for Document Submission at the time of printing the Allotment Letter.

The candidate who has been allotted a seat for the first time in the ninth round –

After payment of tuition fees, the candidates who have been allotted seats have to submit their original documents at the appointed Help Centre as under –

1. Allotment Letter of ACPUGMEC

2. Receipt of Payment of Tuition Fees at Bank/Online

3. Tuition Fees Receipt generated through Admission Module

4. Print a Copy NEET-UG mark sheet of the current academic year

5. Std. 10th Marksheet

6. Std. 12th Marksheet

7. Document showing the place of birth and date of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate- compulsory for all candidates & Birth Certificate/ Passport--If birthplace is not mentioned in School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate)

8. Domicile Certificate for students born outside Gujarat (with signature and stamp of Authority) issued by Competent Authorities (Mamlatdar/Executive Magistrate/Commissioner of Police) of Gujarat State only

9. For SEBC, ST, and SC Category: Caste certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only

10. For SEBC Category: Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha ‘4’ in Gujarati/English) issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only issued after Dt:01/04/2021

11. For EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) Category: EWS certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only issued after Dt:01/04/2021

12. Copy of Passport (if Citizenship is Dual)

13. Fitness Certificate

14. Any other document as per requirement

Candidates should bring an envelope of 11 x 15-inch size (Appropriate size). Write the following details on the envelope with the marker. The details to be mentioned in the envelope are enclosed in the notice below.

The candidate whose allotment has not been upgraded (no change in admitted college) in the ninth round need not report at the help centre. The candidate who has participated or not participated in the 9th Round, the admission of the previous round can also be upgraded in the same college by change of admission category (i.e., ST/SC/SEBC/EWS to General category or PwD to non-PwD seat), in such case there is no need to report to the help centre for confirmation of admission.

The candidate whose allotment has been upgraded (change in admitted college) in the ninth round has to report at the help center for confirmation of admission to get an Admission order for that round. Otherwise, the allotted admission to that round will be automatically canceled.

After payment of tuition fees, or difference of tuition fees (in case fees have been paid in the previous round) for confirmation of the admission to upgraded seat, the candidate has to visit the same help center where he had confirmed the admission of the previous round with following documents –

1. Allotment Letter of ACPUGMEC of Current Round

2. Original Admission Order of ACPUGMEC of the previous Round

3. Copy of Tuition Fee Receipt of fees payment at Bank for previous Round

4. Original Receipt of Payment of the Difference of Tuition Fees at the Bank, if applicable

5. Difference of Tuition Fee Receipt generated thru the admission Module, if applicable

The candidate will get the new admission order duly signed by the nodal officer of the help centre.

For NRI Candidate: The candidate has to confirm the admission by reporting at the Help Center. The candidate has to collect the tuition fees paid at the admitted college of the previous round. Candidate has to pay prescribed tuition fees in US Dollars or an equivalent amount in any other currency up to 12.00 noon on 30th November 2023 at the admitted institute in the Current round. ACPUGMEC will refund the deposit amount of Rs. 5.00 lakh after the completion of the whole admission process.

As the candidate has been upgraded seat in the current round, his admission to the previous round is automatically get cancelled. If this candidate fails to confirm the allotment of upgraded seats, the allotted admission of the present round will also be automatically canceled. Thus, the allotted admission of the present as well as the previous round, got cancelled.

Failing to bring any original documents, the candidate will have no right of admission.

Newly added seats –

60 BAMS seats are newly added at 1 Shridhar Atulkumar Jani Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Shridhar Campus, Near Balaji Hanuman Temple, Dhari Road bypass, Amreli.
