135 seats added to MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025 round 2

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the addition of 135 postgraduate medical seats (MD/MS) to the Round-2 seat matrix of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling for the academic year 2025. The newly added seats span across several states and include multiple clinical and non-clinical specialities, offering fresh opportunities to candidates participating in the second round of counselling.

According to the seat matrix, the additional seats have been incorporated following updates received from participating medical institutions and state authorities. These seats will now be available for choice filling and allotment in Round-2. The newly added MD/MS seats are distributed across Assam, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

With the inclusion of 135 additional MD/MS seats, candidates participating in Round-2 of NEET PG 2025 counselling now have an expanded pool of options. Therefore, aspirants must review the updated seat matrix carefully and revise their choices accordingly before the choice-locking deadline. Below is the detailed seat matrix-

Meanwhile, MCC is going to close the choice filling process by today, i.e. December 12, 2025, 11:55 PM. Also, the choice locking for Round-2 will open at 4:00 PM on December 12 and will continue until 11:55 PM on the same day.

STEPS FOR NEET PG 2025 COUNSELLING CHOICE FILLING AND LOCKING

STEP 1- Visit the MCC NEET PG website.

STEP 2- Log in using your NEET PG credentials.

STEP 3- Navigate to the "Choice Filling" section on the dashboard.

STEP 4- Select preferred colleges and courses from the available seat matrix.

STEP 5- Arrange choices in descending order of priority with the highest preference at the top.

STEP 6- Save choices after each change to avoid data loss.

STEP 7- Click "Lock Choices" to finalise your selection.

STEP 8- Download and print the Confirmation Page for future reference.
