COVID patient booked for attacking duty doctor with saline stand

Mumbai: A duty doctor attached to a government-run hospital at Alibaug was brutally attacked by a Covid-19 patient with a saline stand after he instructed the patient not to remove his oxygen mask repeatedly.
The doctor identified as Swapnadeep Thale suffered injuries in the incident and was admitted to the ICU for treatment.
This incident took place at around 4.30 am at the Covid-19 care centre at Alibaug District General Hospital on Wednesday, wherein, a 55-year-old coronavirus patient, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past four days badly hit the doctor on his head with stand.
