Patiala doctor held at gunpoint, robbed of Rs 1.83 lakh
Amritsar: While travelling to a village to attend a medical camp, a 54-year-old doctor from Patiala was allegedly threatened and robbed at gunpoint by three unidentified masked youths. The assailants reportedly looted Rs 1.83 lakh, medical degrees, medicines and other valuable items.
The doctor has been identified as Harpal Singh who runs a non-governmental organisation (NGO). As per local media reports, the doctor apart from losing cash, also lost important documents and licenses of his organisation.
The police have registered a case in connection, an investigation is underway to identify the robbers, arrest them and recover the looted items from their possession.

An FIR under Sections 304 (snatching), 324 (5) (mischief), 351(2) (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of BNS and Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
