Online services at model ESI dispensary inaugurated in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Labour and Employment Gummanur Jayaram inaugurated the online services of ESI hospital at the Gunadala ESI hospital here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that for the first time in the state the ESI medical services were made available to the ESI contributors online. He said that 4 ESI hospitals and 78 ESI dispensaries would be upgraded by providing the required infrastructure and medical equipment.

He said that at present there are 2.50 crore ESI contributors and their family members to get ESI medical facilities in the state. The minister said that 2,434 medical treatments were being provided to the eligible people under the Arogyasri health scheme, being implemented by the AP government.

Principal Secretary B Vijayalakshmi said that as part of the Dhanwantari Panchadeep scheme, online services of ESI hospitals were launched today. She said that the needed software for the purpose was developed.

She said that the ESI contributors could download an Application AAA+ and enter their identification number to avail the online ESI medical services. As many as 43,000 people could be provided medical services through online, she said.
