Raipur: MBBS doctor Booked After Ayurveda practitioner Alleges Rape, Sexual harassment

A case of sexual harassment, rape, and blackmail has been levied on him for allegedly promising the female doctor to marry her while sexually exploiting her for a couple of years.

Raipur: Based on the complaint filed by a 28-year-old female Ayurveda practitioner, the police have recently arrested an MBBS doctor posted in the Covid-19 ward of renowned Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, for allegedly sexually harassing and raping her on the pretext of marriage.

According to a recent report in The Pioneer, the MBBS doctor who is also pursuing post-graduation in medical studies has been booked by the DD Nagar Police Station In-charge Yogita Khaparde.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported a similar case, wherein, based on the complaint filed by a Homeopathy doctor, the police had arrested a man for raping the female practitioner and filming an obscene video of the sexual assault.

The homoeopath further alleged that the man further used the video to blackmail her while forcing her to go for a divorce and file an FIR against her husband citing dowry harassment.

The instant case is probed by the cops. The accused doctor will be questioned after his quarantine period ends, the SHO told The Pioneer.
