Sarvdev Ayurvedic Medical College Inaugurated in Varanasi
Varanasi- A new Ayurvedic Medical College was recently inaugurated in Varanasi. At present, there are a total of 3 Ayurveda colleges in Varanasi.
A new Ayurvedic medical college named Sarvdev Ayurvedic Medical College was inaugurated at Itaura Chandeshwar in Azamgarh district on Monday by Professor AK Singh, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University.
On this occasion, along with AK Singh, many other dignitaries including Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Suheldev State University Professor Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Rajya Sabha member Ashok Bajpai, College Principal Nilesh Masurkar were also present in the inauguration program.
Addressing the inaugural function, AK Singh discussed many things like the importance of Ayurveda in daily lifestyle. Where he said, “Ayurveda is a lifestyle that everyone should follow to stay healthy. Ayurveda is based on daily routine and seasonal diet regime”, quoted TOI.
Along with this, he also emphasized that teachers associated with Ayurvedic medicine should focus on quality to improve it. A cordial relationship between students and teachers can help in creating a healthy society through Ayurveda. He urged the teachers and students of the Ayurvedic College to increase awareness about Ayurveda in the five adopted villages and emphasized the importance of specialization in this field.
The professor further mentioned that Varanasi was once the main centre of Ayurveda in Uttar Pradesh, but it lagged due to a lack of attention to quality. He also said that for the first time, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, significant attention is being paid to improving health through Ayurvedic medicine.
During this, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Suheldev State University, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sharma highlighted the importance of Ayurvedic medicine in social upliftment and emphasized the need for quality. In addition, Rajya Sabha member Ashok Vajpayee said that with the global focus on Ayurvedic medicine, India's responsibility has increased. Meanwhile, college principal Nilesh Masurkar assured the attendees that the college would impart excellent education in Ayurveda and produce skilled Ayurvedic doctors who would bring laurels to the institute across the country.
