Uttar Pradesh- The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has announced the postponement of UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) online counselling 2026 until further orders, citing unavoidable reasons.
In an official notice issued by the UPDGME, the authority informed all candidates participating in the UP NEET MDS 2026 counselling process that the online counselling has been deferred.
According to the notice, the DGME has decided to postpone the ongoing online counselling process for UP NEET MDS 2026 due to unavoidable circumstances. The authority stated that the counselling would remain postponed until further orders.

Uttar Pradesh has 6,082 MD, MS, Diploma, DM, and MCh seats for the academic year 2026-2027, according to the latest seat matrix released by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The seat distribution shows that M.D. General Medicine has the highest number of seats, with 575 seats, followed by M.S. General Surgery with 558 seats and M.D. Anaesthesiology with 554 seats.
As per the list, the approved seats are spread across government, private, and deemed medical institutions in the national capital.
Medical Dialogues had reported that the NMC on September 29 released a seat matrix showing a total of 63,177 MD, MS, Diploma, DM, and MCh medical seats for the academic year 2026-27. However, the NMC has clarified that the latest seat matrix does not include the seats in respect of applications received for an increase in intake of existing PG courses or for the commencement of new PG courses for the Academic Year 2026–27.
