UP DGME notifies schedule for fresh round 2 NEET counselling 2026, choice filling till September 24
Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has released the revised schedule for the second round of UP NEET UG online counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS seats under the state quota in government and private medical and dental colleges across the state for the academic year 2026-27.
As per the notice issued by the UPDGME in this regard, the revised schedule has been issued following the government's earlier communication, under which the previously conducted first round of counselling was cancelled.
According to the schedule, DGME will declare the Second Round Merit List on September 21, 2026. Candidates included in the merit list will be able to submit their preferences through the online choice-filling process from 2:00 PM on September 21 until 11:00 AM on September 24, 2026.
Candidates should carefully select and arrange their preferred courses and colleges during this window, as seat allotment in the second round will be carried out on the basis of the Round 2 merit list.
Following the completion of choice filling, the Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on September 25, 2026. Below is the revised schedule-

The first round of UP NEET UG 2026 online counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions has been conducted after the earlier round was cancelled following an order of the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court staying the implementation of nearly 91 percent reservation for admission to four government medical colleges.
In compliance with the court's order, the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, issued a revised counselling schedule. Under the revised schedule, the online choice filling and locking began at 5 pm on September 18 and will remain open until 5 pm on September 21.
Since the seat allotment result announced on September 7 has also been cancelled, the revised seat allotment result will be announced on September 22 after the fresh counselling.
