Ludhiana doctor goes missing, police launch search operation

Ludhiana Police Probe Mystery as Doctor Goes Missing en Route to Clinic
Ludhiana: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old doctor from Basant Avenue has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after leaving his home for his clinic on June 11, prompting police to register an FIR and launch an investigation.
According to police, the doctor left his home in an SUV and was on his way to the clinic in the city. However, he neither reached the clinic nor returned home, raising concerns among family members.

When repeated attempts to contact him failed, his family discovered that his mobile phone had been switched off. After confirming that he had not arrived at his workplace, they approached the police and lodged a missing person complaint.
“I suspect that my husband was kept under wrongful confinement by some unidentified persons, and the police should hold a probe to trace him,” the wife said.
Police officials said the case remains puzzling as there has been no communication from the missing doctor since he left home. Speaking to Hindustan Times, ASI Dharaminder Singh, in charge of Basant Avenue police post, said that there has been no breakthrough so far. “The doctor left his house but never reached his clinic. He has not contacted his family or anyone else since then,” the ASI said. He added that the police are investigating the case from all possible angles, including personal and family-related issues.
Head constable Balwinder Singh said, “Since the day the doctor went missing, his mobile phone had also been switched off. Call details of the victim are being procured to gather any clues. So far, there is no clue about the doctor. Even his family had not raised suspicion against any person,” reports The Tribune.
Police teams have circulated photographs of the missing doctor to assist in the search operation. Efforts are also underway to trace the movement of his vehicle and verify whether it passed through any toll plazas or checkpoints.
An FIR has been registered under Section 127(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified persons. Investigators said all possible angles are being examined as the search continues.
