New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Thursday launched an online course to teach MBBS doctors to write patients' slips while doing or completing internships.
Registration for this course starts today.
ICMR on Thursday informed us that the course has been started on the occasion of Patients' Safety Day.
Under this course, medical graduate students will be told the things to be kept in mind while writing the patients' slip, how to prescribe medicines, and give medical information to patients.
ICMR Director General Prof Balaram Bhargava said this at the launch of the course that ICMR is committed to ensuring that the country's medical graduates were at the same level as doctors from other countries.
ICMR has successfully completed the basic course of biomedical research. This course has been made compulsory for postgraduate students by the Medical Council of India.
"We will ensure that the Digital Course of Prescription Skill of Medical Graduate Students also proves successful," he said.
There will be 40 video lectures of 20 minutes each under this three-month course. The student joining the course will have the first test so that their previous knowledge will be tested and then evaluated from time to time during the course. A certificate will be given to the participants after successfully completing the course. To join these courses, students will have to register now and sit for the pre-test on October 4 or 11.
