NBE Extends Thesis Submission Deadline for Post MBBS DNB Broad Specialty 2021 Session

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has extended the last date for submission of the thesis for the Post MBBS DNB Broad Specialty 2021 admission session.

As per the official notice in this regard, NBEMS has extended the last date for thesis submission for the candidates of Post MBBS DNB Broad Specialty 2021 admission session up to August 20, 2024, at 11:55 pm. With this, all the trainees and recognised institutions have also been informed that no further extension will be given. Further, those trainees who do not submit their Thesis by the 20th of August, 2024 till 11:55 PM, will be rendered ‘ineligible’ to appear in their DNB Final Theory Examination- October 2024 session.

Earlier, the last date for thesis submission for the candidates of Post MBBS DNB Broad Specialty 2021 admission was 31 August 2024. However, since many trainees have not been able to complete the thesis due to various reasons on 31 August, therefore, trainees and recognised institutions have requested the NBEMS to extend the last date for submission of the thesis.

As per NBEMS norms, Thesis submission is essential for all DNB trainees towards the partial fulfilment of eligibility for Diplomate of National Board (DNB). The candidates of the Post MBBS DNB Broad Speciality 2021 admission session, who are willing to appear in the DNB Final Theory Examination – October 2024 session, are required to submit the thesis.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) was established in 1975 in New Delhi. It is an autonomous entity within the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NBE conducts a few examinations such as DNB final (exit) examinations, Fellowship Entrance and Exit examinations, NEET-SS for admission to DM/Mch/DrNB superspecialty medical courses across India, etc.
